Hi, I’m Alex.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a concentration in Mindfulness and Transpersonal Counseling from Naropa University. I believe therapy can be more than a place to work through what is hurting, it can be a place to come home to yourself.
At the heart of my work is a simple, deeply held belief:
I believe healing is the journey of coming home to yourself so deeply that you no longer have to abandon who you are to belong, be loved, or connect with others.
I have been drawn to heart-centered living for as long as I can remember. Even as a child, I sensed something powerful in the willingness to feel deeply, to stay curious about our inner worlds, and to honor the many parts of ourselves that make us human. Over time, that knowing became both a personal path and a professional calling.
I believe there is profound courage in turning inward. Where discovering your deepest truths meets the courage to live it. I believe healing begins when we turn toward the parts of ourselves we have learned to avoid, when we allow ourselves to feel what has long been unfelt, and meet what we have judged, hidden, or abandoned with tenderness rather than shame. Beneath the adaptations, defenses, and stories we have carried, there is often a deeper wisdom within us, quietly waiting to be remembered, trusted, and heard.
My role as a therapist is not to tell you who to become. It is to walk alongside you as you remember who you already are.
I draw from Gestalt, Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment-based, emotion-focused, and relational approaches, weaving these with mindfulness and present-moment experiential practices. I work holistically, honoring the interconnectedness of mind, body, heart, and spirit and making room for the fullness of your human experience. Together, we may explore the places where you feel stuck, disconnected, ashamed, or uncertain, and gently create space for something new to emerge.
I care deeply about worthiness and belonging.
As a South American adoptee, my own journey has brought me into a lifelong exploration of identity, belonging, connection, and what it means to create a sense of home within oneself. I know something about the longing to feel rooted, recognized, and connected. That personal journey informs the way I meet others, with curiosity, humility, compassion, and a deep reverence for the complexity of each person’s story.
I believe healing happens in relationships. It is in the presence of another that we discover and meet ourselves. We are shaped by the relationships we have had, the relationships we have lost, the relationships we long for, and the relationship we have with ourselves. Because of this, I’m especially passionate about helping people create more authentic, connected, and fulfilling relationships, with themselves and with the people they love.

A place where all parts of you belong
My hope is to cultivate a therapeutic space where you do not have to perform, minimize, or leave parts of yourself at the door.
A space where your tenderness is welcome.
Your anger is welcome.
Your uncertainty is welcome.
Your desire is welcome.
Your contradictions are welcome.
Your joy is welcome.
Your becoming is welcome.
The victory is in the process.
